So I came across this video on CNN and surprisingly enough I have a big issue with it. This young lady was suspended for dying her hair pink. I am not a big fan of pink hair personally, but in the world we live in there are so many individuals with colored hair, how can we say which colors are appropriate if any colors are allowed? As a parent, if I say that it is ok for my daughter to do something based on my understanding of the "rules" and a school try and tell me that they aren't going to allow it, I have issue. I have to say that I support her cause, she didn't intentionally violate the rules because she is rebellious, she was doing it in memory of her father who died of cancer when she was six. I hope that the school recognizes their mistake, if not, I hope she is able to finish her education somewhere that deserves to have a young lady as courageous as her.
